Copernicus Marine Service releases 4th Ocean State Report

Mercator Ocean has announced the release of the Copernicus Marine Service Ocean State Report 4 (OSR4) Summary, which offers a distilled look at the state, natural variations, and ongoing changes in the ocean in 2018. It presents many findings including:
  • accelerated sea level rise since 1993,
  • unprecedented warming of the upper ocean, and
  • the economic valuation of the carbon sequestration in the Mediterranean Sea.
